Snow Day

Today our office was closed due to the road conditions.

Garry went to work and said some of the roads were
really iced up, glad he made is safe.

The birds have enjoyed their sunflower seeds.
No way to keep the feeders filled.

Puddles and Lucky have laid around all day and slept.
I think this is what their week days consist of.

Yes his bed is upside down. This way the zipper will not scratch the floor.

Snow

All day we watched for snow.
It was suppose to start at lunch, then 3pm.
All day, nothing !

I didn't even see a flake during my drive home.

Then it started after 5:30pm, finally snow !

60's *** Snow***

Yup, that's right, it was 62 today.

This afternoon I was outside in short sleeves

cooking dinner on the grill.

Tomorrow its suppose to snow.

 

When we have snow our town closes down.

We do not have the road equipment to clear the roads.

Also we don't have the experience in driving in the stuff.

 

Then you have those northerners pushing you down the road.

Well they can eat my tail pipe, I'm driving at my own speed.

(don't be offended my northern friends)

I think to much of my head and car.

Sunday Surprise

This morning I had a nice surprise.
Romonia (sister) and her hubby drop by on their
way to pick up mom for lunch.

A lady from their church was painting these for extra money.
I love them and they will look great around our patio this
summer with the flowers I always plant.

RV Show

Today Garry and I went to the RV Show in Charlotte.
Some of the rigs are beautiful and unbelievable.
Such high end and also high price.

Maybe some day we will trade our Cardinal,
but for right now it's perfect for us.

There were lots of vendors there and new campground showings.
I'm ready for some camping now !

BURRRR

The cold weather has hit us once again.
I guess were lucky not to have snow.

But then again, I better not to speak to soon.
There is a chance of snow Tuesday.
When that happens, our town shuts down.

Wordless Wednesday

This and That

Garry said he wanted pinto beans (dried).

So tonight we will have beans that have been in
the crockpot, pork chops and skillet fried potatoes.

I'm trying to cook more instead of going out to eat so much.
Hope this will help with some weight loss. Plus it saves
money and gives us more home time with Puddles.

My knee is a little better today.  Just a little pain when I
walk, but getting up is a problem. Once my leg is straight
the pain eases. Thankful for that !




Since Garry works for the
government, he's off tomorrow. 

Wish I was off and we could have went to the beach.

 I've got the fever real bad.

Guess I will just have to wait for Easter weekend.

Knee Pain

This morning Garry and I were deep cleaning the house.

Every thing was going good until I busted my butt.

I was scrubbing the bathroom floor.
The floor was wet and slick from the cleaner. I was using
the mop to get the cleaner off.  My foot slipped and down
I went. Back hitting the toilet and my leg going under me.

Tonight I can hardly put weight on my leg. The side of my knee
at the leg bend is so painful when standing. I'm sure nothing
is broken. May have pulled a tendon. Now I'm sitting here with
an ice pack. I just hate it when stupid stuff happens !

Wordless Wednesday

Me Day

Today I took a vacation day or I should say ... Me Day.

A manicure and pedicure was my priority.
I love getting them, but it takes so long.

Then it was off to meet Mom for lunch for some Mexican food.
It was so good and we were stuffed !

Since my Tahoe was behind on it services, that was my next stop.

They are really nice at Hendricks. Well let me say the service

department is.  The sale guys needs a little work on their personalities.

 

I ended my great day with grilling out burgers.

Now I'm looking forward to my next day off.

That's my number this year, 57.

Today is my birthday !

I received this darling flower arrangement from work.

Several gave me presents, which I love.

I took off work Monday for a me day.
Manicure / Pedicure and some shopping.

The funny thing is my best friends (Janice / Rick) gave
me a gift card from the nail place that I go to not
knowing I had planned to go.

I can say that my 57 years have been good ones.
Great parents, husband, 2 sisters and family.
I also have the best friends ever.

God has been good to me.

Eight !

Baby it's cold outside !!

The low night is 8 degrees.

WSOC-TV said it has not been this cold for
130 years and then it was 12 degrees.  I wonder
how true the records were back then.

It's suppose to warm back up this week end.

Nothing

Not much been going on here on the hill.

It's been cold and rainy, most overcast. Atleast we don't have
the snow like lots of my northern friends are dealing with.

I have the camping fever, but it will be several months before
Easter, which is always our 1st camping trip of the year.

Puddles is doing great on his Chemo meds. He's loosing
some hair and has gained weight from the steroids.
He has to go once a month to have blood work and see
the Doctor, maybe some day we can spread it out more.
