Mountain Riding

I love riding up in the hills.

Water looks inviting!
These buildings were 1st, so the road had to go around them.
Many buildings are right next to the roads.

Gatlinburg, TN

Today we spent the day at Gatlinburg.
If you like to shop and eat, this is the place.

Garry and I are not drinkers, but we did do a free
little moonshine tasting at Ole Smoky Moonshine.
Dang, that stuff is strong and nasty !

Went in Ripleys Believe it or Not and enjoyed it,
but $16 per person was pricey.

I took my small Nikon camera and I'm unable to upload the
pics here. Didn't bring the connector for that camera.

Busy Vacation

Since the holiday visitors have gone it's really
nice here and the traffic is great.

Monday we did a little shopping and later that
evening went to Cades Cove.  It's best to go in the
evening as many deer are out feeding. As driving
around we saw around 20 deer. This time they had
horses in the meadow.

Today we left the rv early. Had breakfast at McDonalds
and headed to the Bush Brothers Bean Factory. This
place is huge and the farm house where the family
was raised is still standing. Everyone living near the
factory are relatives.
The Forbidden Cavern were nexts on our list.
We visited here over 10 years ago, but since it's hot
and the temp inside is always 58 we decided to
take the tour.
I love caverns, but also worry about being trapped inside.

Our final adventure for the day was a show
Didn't take many pics due to the lighting.
It was a great show and worth the money !

Campground

The campground is packed, but I think most
will leave tomorrow. It's still nice and quite.

Most park in front or behind their RV.
Ours is so long, we had to pull in beside it.

There is Lady Bird (cardinal)
There are trees or bushes between the sites.

I walked out to the creek that runs along the side of the park.
A couple duck came running, thinking I had food.
Then they started showing off in the water.

Looks cool and refreshing !

Pigeon Forge, TN

We are on vacation in lovely Pigeon Forge.

It's busy as expected for a holiday week end,
but that has not stopped us with moving around.

Today we had lunch at The Old Mill.

Our wait was only 15 mins and when leaving I heard them saying 45 mins.
It's a poplar place and really good, but that's to long to wait.

Then a visit to the Bass Pro Shoppe surprised us.
This is the biggest one we've seen, 2 stories
Of course we had to buy a few Ducky Dynasty things.

The final stop for today...
Hot donuts  .....   my diet is shoot !

Squatter

Since our Easter camping trip we have had some squatters
in the RV. They didn't make to bad of a mess, but did make one.

I do believe they are the cousins of Mickey Mouse.
Thank goodness they are not that big !!

Every thing washed, floor cleaned and mouse traps set.

Garry has looked underneath, but does not see where
they can get in the RV.  So once back from the mountains
I'm gonna find a little guy to crawl all under it and see
if they can find their secret entrance.

We have not had this problem before, thank goodness !
Hope we can stop it from happening again.

Lady Bird is all clean and ready to hit the road in a few days!

Rain

We have been soaked this week with the rain.

I suppose every one with gardens loved it and the
flowers were dancing with joy.

Maybe this summer will not be a dry one, but not holding
my breath.

Hope your week end has been a good one.

Happy Sunshine

Today the sun finally shined,
after a week of clouds and rain.

The flowers are busting with blooms.

Puddles was even happy to get outside.
He was all smiles !
This doggie hates to go out in the rain!

Patio Torch

I had been wanting to get some patio torches.

After look at the bamboo ones. I could never
fine 4 that were straight enough for me.

So I decided on metal and I loves these.
They should last a long time.

Also bought stakes to make them easy to install.

Now if it can get warmer,
I'm ready for a family cook out!
