People that know us, know we collect old clocks.

Thursday night Romonia (sister) brought Garry a surprise.

An old United clock !

We love it with the little fireplace that has
movement and it's keeping perfect time.

Antique Consignments

Yesterday Mom and I met for lunch and then we headed out to
several new consignment stores in our area.

I was looking for a larger table to put one of our
antique clocks on and found the perfect one.

I like it even better since I was able to talk

the guy down some on the price !

 

These little Russian Nesting Dolls caught my eye.

 The seller had them marked down 20%, now I have them!

 

 I wanted to put a chair in our spare bedroom so Garry

could sit down while putting on his shoes.

This rocking chair was calling my name.

I love the woven bottom and also was able to talk

the guy down on the price.

It was a fun day and I love spending time with my Mom !

Mr Cool

Jayce (great-nephew) is growing up to fast.

Loves his sunglasses, hat and boots.

Can't wait to have him come over this summer to ride his 4 wheeler.

Gobble Gobble

This afternoon Garry spotted a visitor up on the hill.

I grabbed my camera and changed to zoom lens,
then ran outside to try for a good shot.

A female turkey.

We have a lot of hunters around here, so she better be careful.

Love seeing the wildlife come around for a visit.

Dinner is Ready

I'm stuffed and it was so good !

Even Puddles enjoyed a little meatloaf.

Puddles Checkup

Today Puddles had his monthly recheck with Dr Parfitt.
She is the Oncology Specialists at Carolina Veterinary Specialists .

His blood work for anemia is much better and we're so thankful!

Lucky him, he can come off one of his stomach meds.

Now he only has to take 1 chemo and pepcid pill every other day.

He's regular vet still has him on a thyroid pill daily and that
continues to stay the same.

 I also asked about his weight and we can start walking him.

Since being on the steroids for so long, he has gained up to
17 lbs and that is way to much for his body and little knees.

We are really excited about todays visit and the future is looking better.
Hope next month things will be better or at least stay the same.

Now he's ready for some camping !

10 Years Old

Today Mr Puddles is 10 years old.

He's been such a joy and has brought
laughter to our home.

Pest

Sunday I was out washing my Tahoe and
received my 1st fire ant bite on my middle toe.

If you have never been stung by one, they hurt.

We spend a good amount of money in the summer

trying to keep them under control.

 

This afternoon Puddles and I were sitting in the swing.

Low and behold a huge mosquito tried to bite me.

I thought the 2 snows and freezing temps

many would be killed.

 

Sure hope this is not signs of our summer

with these no good pest!

Time and Temp

It's been a cold and rainy week. But that's ok, since
the ice and snow went north of Charlotte.

Starting today it's up hill for a little while,
with temps in the 70's.

With the time changing and great weather our time
after work will be spent outside.

Truck

We would love to have a dually truck
to pull our RV with.

Garry's truck does very well at pulling it
but a dually would be much better.

He found one at our local Ford dealer.

He didn't really like the color and the sunroof.

 

$71,545.00 .....ouch.....crazy !

 

He's gonna have to look more, we don't want black !

Mom better

I just talked with mom she is doing good.
Said "I'm being good". After my lecture she better
be good and careful.

I reminded her again tonight how thin older
peoples bones are and she needed to watch
where she was walking.

Her face is getting better with the yellow color now.
She is on blood thinner and that always makes
bruising worse.

Sure do love my mom !
She and I are so much alike its scary.

Mom Falling

My oldest sister Vickie stopped by mom's house with
dinner. That's when we learned that she had fallen.

She was working in the yard and fell over a tree root.

I really give her a good lecture about calling me,
so this will not happen again.  She said that she felt
silly for falling and didn't want to say anything.

I'm so thankful that nothing was broken and she
was conscious the entire time.
